I love what I do. I am in the business of helping people. There are a lot of decisions for buyers and sellers to make when engaging in the real estate process. And believe me when I say it is a process that takes time and is in constant motion! For that reason, I encourage people to ask a lot of questions throughout the process and to communicate often and openly. In this way, I can provide clients with the most useful information and my best service, which helps all of us achieve a smooth transaction and closing.
I enjoy assisting first-time home buyers as they embark on this incredibly important journey, and for similar reasons, I love assisting sellers who are venturing back into the real estate market after a while. There’s no doubt that buying or selling a home can be a stressful event, but it’s my goal to help make the process as clear and straightforward as possible. Less stress makes for happier home owners and agents alike!
My real estate education consists of the required coursework for licensure in Minnesota, Coldwell Banker Burnet University – Skill Builder Agent Training, and 30+ hours of continuing education every two years.
In 2013, I earned the GREEN Designation from the National Association of REALTORS®. With the GREEN Designation, I can help clients apply green thinking to their real estate processes, from considering energy audits and understanding energy-efficient upgrades to connecting with various trade resources that incorporate green practices in their businesses. I also strive to run a conscientious business that functions in harmony with the South Minneapolis community in which I live and work.
Prior to being in real estate, I was a public health professional. I earned my masters degree in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, MI, and my undergraduate degree in Human Development from Antioch College, in the beautiful village of Yellow Springs, OH.
I can help anyone with residential real estate needs in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. I particularly enjoy helping first time home-buyers make a really big decision feel less scary! And I have a passion for the Craftsman era homes that are prevalent in the neighborhoods of South Minneapolis. In fact, I live in one myself!
Craftsman-era homes, cooking for family and friends, farmers markets, fabulous neighborhood restaurants, and bike rides with my kiddo!
— Katie, Minneapolis
“Jen was instrumental in guiding us through the process of buying our first home - which often meant a lot of hand holding. She is a veritable fountain of Minneapolis neighborhood trivia, and her eye for detail alerted us to potential problem houses. When it was time to negotiate, Jen kept the atmosphere calm and straightforward. We ended up in a house we love, in a great neighborhood. I would recommend Jen to anyone!”
— Noe, Eden Prairie
"Jen went above and beyond. I have a hectic schedule that can quickly change and any given day I can be traveling in another state for work. Her communication was like no other, quick responses and always ready to find the answers I needed. I know she spent some late nights finding the information I needed and always with the best attitude. Although I was not planning to buy so quickly, I went in just to see what the market was like. She never once pressured into any higher price range than I wanted. I actually stayed about half of what I qualified for. She always took my needs into account and made this the easiest process ever. I would recommend her to anyone. Great attitude, communication and knowledge of the market. Thank you, Jen.”
— Marty and Emely, Bloomington
"Jen did a fantastic job for us, getting offers over our asking price. When we had questions she always took the time and effort to make sure that the answer was correct and accurate. We would highly recommend Jen as your real estate agent, she was outstanding and during every step of the process she was knowledgeable and professional. When we buy or sell our next home, Jen will be the first call we make."
