ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
SHELDON R. HOFFMAN (1945-2008)
With great sadness we bid farewell to Shel as he ended his untimely battle with cancer. We all know and remember with fondness his great accomplishments in real estate and the unique grace with which he served his customers and clients.
We seek every day to continue the traditions that Shel established in our office. His high professional standards, thoughtful attention to clients, and ethical treatment of all customers is a heritage we are proud to uphold.
Shel was one-of–a-kind and he is dearly missed.
COMPANY MILESTONES

1979
Company founder Sheldon Hoffman begins his career in real estate selling Lake Point Condominiums on Lake Calhoun.

1986
Shel obtains his broker’s license and founds the company as S.R. Hoffman & Associates.

1988
Shel is the exclusive listing agent for La Rive Condominiums at Riverplace - officing on-site in the residential tower until later establishing an office space in Expo Hall at at Riverplace

2003
Scott Parkin joins the firm after managing most of the new developments that S.R. Hoffman had been listing.

2006
Scott obtains his broker license and oversees day-to-day operations of the firm.

2007
Scott is made partner and the firm is re-named Hoffman Parkin Urban Realty.

2008
Upon Shel's passing the firm is moved to its present location on 4th Street SE.

2013
The firm is re-named and branded as Verve Realty to reflect its expanded services and selling homes throughout the Twin Cities..

2015-2018
Scott serves two terms on the Minneapolis Board of Realtors.
